Cybersecurity Awareness Month

The Division of Emergency Management, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), is excited to invite you and your organization to participate in NCSAM this October.

Utah DEM will promote cybersecurity through its Be Ready Utah social media channels.

NCSAM 2016 will include a series of events across the country hosted by governments, businesses, nonprofits, and academic organizations to raise cybersecurity awareness and increase the nation’s resiliency in the event of a cyber incident.

DHS, in coordination with NCSA, is excited to announce the NCSAM themes for each of the five weeks in October. Each of the NCSAM weekly themes focus on an aspect of cybersecurity and the reality of our constantly connected lives.

Week 1: October 3-7, 2016 – Every Day Steps Towards Online Safety with Stop.Think.Connect.™

Week 2: October 10-14, 2016 – Cyber from the Break Room to the Board Room

Week 3: October 17-21, 2016 – Recognizing and Combating Cybercrime

Week 4: October 24-28, 2016 – Our Continuously Connected Lives: What’s Your ‘App’-titude?

Week 5: October 31, 2016 –Building Resilience in Critical Infrastructure
