GRAMA Requests
A GRAMA request is a formal written request under Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act to obtain public records from a government entity. These requests are the state's equivalent of the federal Freedom of Information Act and are used to access records that are prepared, owned, or used by government agencies.
Emergency Alerts
The Utah Division of Emergency Management oversees the state's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS). This system is for local alerting that provides authenticated emergency and life-saving information to the public through mobile phones using Wireless Emergency Alerts, to radio and television via the Emergency Alert System, and on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Weather Radio.
